ISO-9H

Specification:

  • The ISO-9H Isolation feet measure 23mm in diameter and are 9mm tall. The ISO-9H are designed to be compressed during load support and therefore the installed height will be less than 9mm. Under heavy loads, the ISO-9H will compress substantially (> 50% height reduction) (See Caution 1)

  • The ISO-9H Isolation feet are made from a carefully selected elastomer. The shore hardness of this elastomer is 60 Shore A.

  • The primary intended use of the ISO-9H are as Isolation feet between 'Stand Mount Speakers' and their 'Stands'. Careful and considered use under other equipment must be made in accordance with the cautions below.
    • AudioSerenity does not recommend the use of ISO-9H with floor standing speakers due to weight & stability limitations. Instead, it is recommended to use AudioSerenity speaker spikes and spike shoes.

  • The ISO-9H Isolation feet can be used with the hemispheres facing up or down. The use of the 3M adhesive layer is optional by either leaving the backing paper attached or removing it. (See Caution 5)

  • Per set of 4, the ISO-9H isolation feet have been tested to support equipment weights up to 12 Kg. Under heavy loads, the ISO-9H will compress substantially (> 50% height reduction) (See Caution 1).

Environment:

  • Over time and particularly after exposure to high ambient temperature & humidity the elastomer material may degrade (soften) resulting in a lower installed height. (See Caution 1)

  • Over time and when exposed to high levels of UV, the elastomer material may chalk.

Cautions:

1) The ISO-9H are not designed to replace manufacturer installed feet. Manufacturer feet must be maintained at all times.
Check the ventilation gap under your equipment required by the manufacturer before using these feet. If in doubt, do not use. The installation height of the ISO-9H will be less than 9mm dependent on the equipment weight. The minimum ventilation gap must be maintained as a minimum by maintaining the use of the original manufacturers feet.
To allow for settling and acclimatisation, within 24 hours & after 7 days of initial installation, check the installed height is sufficient & check regularly & periodically. Continue checking at least every 3-6 months during your normal, routine, equipment inspection.

2) If applicable, do not block or obscure ventilation draw grills on the underside of your equipment during placement of the Isolation feet. Always locate on a flat surface that has no holes or gaps.

3) Always lift your equipment into its final location. Never try to re-locate your equipment by pushing or pulling when the Isolation feet are in place. This could result in the high surface friction causing the contact surface to separate and the equipment to topple or become unstable.

4) The ISO-9H Isolation feet are designed to be used directly between themselves and the hard surface on the equipment (e.g. Wooden Speaker / Stand or metal stand / enclosure).

5) If the 3M adhesive method is chosen, to ensure a secure fixing, allow the ISO-9H Isolation feet to acclimatise at room temperature before removing adhesive backing & always clean the surface of the equipment where the adhesive layer of the ISO-9H will be applied. This is recommended to be an alcohol based wipe or similar (Care should be taken with compatbilty with your chosen surface and cleaning method used). The 3m adhesive used is high strength and surfaces are likely to be permanently marked or damaged if removal is necessary in the future. For this reason, it is not recommeded to use the adhesive layer if this is likely to be of concern.

6) Although every effort has been taken to ensure marking of mating surfaces will not occur during use, we recommend that if the mating surface in contact with the elstomeric hemispheres is of concern, that a suitable barrier / coaster e.g. transparent polyester film (mylar) is used or an alternative solution is identified.

If the product is determined to be not suitable for the intended application, AudioSerenity offers its customers a no quibble refund. As necessary, please contact us through the sales channel used to make the original purchase to organise this.
